Türk kültürünün köklerine müzikal açıdan ulaştığımızda, bu günkü bilimin açıklaması ile gün ışığına çıkabbilecek çok önemli sonuçlara varıyoruz. Bu açıdan Türk müzik terapi geleneğini değerlendirmek amacıyla bir sanat, tarih ve bilim yolculuğuna çıkalım.
20. yy başlarında, Orta Asya Altay yöresi, Pazırık ve Başadar bölgelerinde (eski Türk yerleşim yerleri) kazı yapan Rus araştırmacılar Rudenko ve Griaznov, bugünkü arpın atası olarak bilinen çeng isimli bir enstruman buldular. Tarih olarak da M.Ö. 1700 yıllarını gösterdiler. Yani günümüzden 3700 yıl öncesini… Alman sinolog Prof. Wolfram Eberhart’ın ‘Çin Tarihi’ adlı eserine baktığımızda ise, MÖ 3000 yıllarında Çin kültürünün müzik, dans, tiyatro, hayvan terbiyesi ve seramik işçiliği başta olmak üzere pek çok konuda Türk kültüründen etkilendiğini yazdığına şahit oluyoruz. Günümüzden 5000 yıl önce.
Doğu Türkistan Hoten şehri yakınlarındaki Mülçe Irmağı kayalıklarında, dans eden insan figürleri var. Müziksiz ya da ritimsiz dans olamayacağına göre 6-8 bin yıllık bu figürler, müziğimizin köklerinin o devirlere de ulaştığını kanıtlıyor. Azerbaycan Gobustan kayalıklarındaki dans eden insan figürlerinin ise, 12-14 bin yıllık olduğu söylenmektedir. Bu bilgilerin ışığında müziğimizin en azından12 bin yıllık bir geçmişi olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır.
Türk müziği, atalarımızın büyük bir saygı ve itinayla bizlere ulaştırdığı kültür ve sanat değerlerimizin en eskilerindendir.
Müzik, birbirleriyle ahenkli seslerin belirli bir ritm içinde art arda dizilmesi olarak tanımlanabilir. Doğada sesler ahenklidir ve müzik de tabiatın içindedir; rüzgarın esişi, kuşun ötüşü, suyun akışı, atın koşuşu gibi, tüm varlık alemi ile birlikte olan bir gerçektir. Müziğin şuurlu hali, insan ile ortaya çıkar. İnsan, kendisine lütfedilen meziyetlerle, sesleri uygun bir şekilde biraraya getirip bütünleştirir ve bunu çeşitli şekillerde kullanır.
Orta Asya’da uzun zaman boyunca, özellikle pentatonik müzik üzerine yoğunlaşan Türkler, Macar araştırmacı Szisabolsky’nin çizdiği pentatonik müziğin yayılışı haritasından anladığımız üzere (bu haritada pentatonik müziğin doğuş yeri olarak Güney Sibirya, yani Türk yerleşim bölgesi gösterilir), aynı zamanda bu müziği ilk olarak kullananlardır da. Kendine güven ve kararlılık duygusu uyandırdığı için, otistik çocukların tedavisinde başarı ile kullanılan pentatonik müziğin, beyinde alfa ve teta dalgalarını artırdığı, yani transı kolaylaştırdığı labaratuvar ölçümleri ile tespit edilmiştir. Binlerce yıl önce bu müziği icra eden kam ve baksılar, trans halinde edindikleri bilgilerle, kabilelerinde -yalnızca- sanatçı değil, medyum, sosyolog, pedagog, psikolog, ruhiyatçı gibi sorumluluğu ağır rolleri de başarıyla taşımışlardır. Müzik ve dans, ayinlerinin en önemli unsurları olmuştur.
Şimdi de bundan 1000 yıl kadar önce, ismi güneş ülkesi anlamına gelen ve o zaman dünya tıbbının merkezi olarak bilinen Horasan’da (bugünkü Türkmenistan, Özbekistan ve Kazakistan’ın bir kısmı, Azerbaycan, İran ve Afganistan’ın bir kısmı) ve Uygur bölgelerinde ne olduğuna bakalım. O dönemde burada hakim ve hezarfen adı verilen büyük bilim ve sanat insanları yetişmiştir. Bu ismi almalarının sebebi, astrolojiden matematiğe, müzikten biyolojiye, resimden kimyaya pek çok konuda bilgi sahibi olmalarıdır. İbn-i Sina, Farabi, Ebubekir Razi gibi büyük insanların eserleri bu konuda en güzel kanıttır.
Horasan kültüründe, insanın sağlıklı olabilmesi için altı prensip ön görülmüştür. Bunlar: teneffüs, beslenme, vücudun hareketi ve sukunu, ruhun hareketi ve sukunu, vücuda gereken şeylerin vücutta tutulması ve vücuda gerekmeyen şeylerin vücuttan atılmasıdır. Bunlardan üçüncüsü olan vücudun hareketi ve sukununa riyazet adı verilir. Müzik eşliğinde yapılan bazı özel hareketlerden oluşan aktif müzik terapi seansı riyazete çok güzel bir örnek teşkil etse de, riyazetin başka çeşitleri de vardır. Mesala kulağın riyazeti güzel ses işitmek olurken, ağzın riyazeti güzel söz söylemektir.
Böyle bir yaklaşımın ışığında doğan ve bir tam sesin dokuz komaya bölünmesi esasına dayanan yedili sisteme, makam müziği adı verilmiştir. Bu müziğin çok çarpıcı tedavi etkileri olduğunu da, yine o zamanın adı geçen büyük bilim-sanat insanları eserlerinde vurgulamışlardır. Mesela rast makamı için Farabi, “insana neşe ve huzur verir” derken, Şuuri de ulema (alimler) meclisinde dinlenmesinin uygun olduğunu bildirmiştir. Ona göre rast makamını dinlemek için en verimli zaman seher vaktidir. Haşim Bey ise mecmuasında, hangi makamın hangi organla ilgili olduğunu, çizimlerle göstermiştir.
Orta Asya kamlarının müzikleri ve dansları ile başlayan, Horasan’da yeni bir boyut kazanan Türk müzik ve hareket tedavisi geleneğinin Türk insanının yaşayışında vazgeçilmez bir yeri olduğu görülmektedir. Konunun önemini çok iyi kavrayan Selçuklu ve Osmanlı zamanında bu gelenek müesseseleştirilmiş ve devlet tarafından yaptırılan hastahanelerde (şifahane) konunun uzmanları tarafından titizlik ve ciddiyetle uygulanmıştır. Bu gelenek, Osmanlı’dan sonra biraz ihmal edilmiş olsa da, varlığını sürdürmüş ve günümüze ulaşmıştır.
Tıp ilmi, çağımız insanının ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmek için bir değişim/dönüşüm içine girmiştir. Alternatif tıp ile başlayan yolculuk, bizleri zaman içinde komplementer tıbba, sonra komperatif tıbba ve son olarak da rejeneratif tıbba ulaştırmıştır. Tıbbın geçtiği tüm bu aşamalarda müzik terapi, ağırlığı değişse de, her zaman var olmuştur. Günümüzde, eski bir insanlık ve Türk kültür-sanat değeri olan müzik ve müzikle tedavi tıp bilimiyle bir araya gelme noktasındadır.
Kökleri Orta Asya’da bulunan ve Anadolu’da gelişimini sürdüren müziğimizin terapi özellikleri, tarafımızdan, günümüzün gelişmiş imkanlarıyla birlikte kullanılmaya ve araştırılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi psikiyatri kliniğinde başlayan çalışmalar, Berlin’de, Urban Hastahanesinde Dr. L. Gutjahr ve Prof. V. Mechleid ile devam etmiş, Alman denekler üzerinde yapılan EEG ölçümlerinde, beyinde beş ana duygunun kalıpları bulunmuştur (açlık, saldırganlık, mutluluk, hüzün, anksiyete). Hazırlanan CD’ler bu denekler üzerinde denendiğinde geçmişten bugüne aktarılan bu bilgiler doğrulanmıştır.
Viyana’da Meidling klinikte başlayan proje ve uygulamalardan, nöroloji dalında yapılan çalışma tamamlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, komadaki hastalara Türk musikisi makamları dinletildiği zaman, beyinde alfa ve teta ritimlerinin arttığı, hastaların komada iken transa geçtikleri gözlenmiştir. Transtan normal uykuya geçen ve daha sonra da bu uykudan uyanan (yani komadan çıkan) hastalara ait gözlemler, müziğin çok derin seviyelere, bugünkü medikal teknolojinin ulaşamadığı yerlere ulaşabildiğini, inhibe edilmiş faktörlerin geri dönüşmesini sağlayabildiğini göstermektedir. Meidling klinikte kanser, yaşlılık, kardiyoloji ve immunoloji üzerine dört proje daha sürmektedir.
2007 yılı ortalarında Ankara Gazi Hastahanesi bünyesinde başlatılan çalışmalarda ise psikiyatri ve algoloji (ağrı bilim) konularına yoğunlaşılmıştır. Algoloji bölüm başkanlığı ile beraber yürütülen ilk seanslarda, kronik ağrı vakalarında, hormonal düzeyde yapılan incelemelerde %40’a varan azalma görüldmüştür. Psikiyatri bölümünde ise otistik çocuklara müzikterapi uygulanmakta ve sonuçlar hormonal seviyede ölçülmektedir. Her iki çalışma da devam etmektedir.
Son olarak, 2007 yılı Aralık ayında, Ankara’da Kalpten Tıbba, Tıptan Kalbe – Geleceğe Hazırlık Semineri IV : Rejeneratif Tıp ve Spiritualite başlıklı bir sempozyum, yurt içinden ve yurt dışından pek çok uzmanın katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu seminer-sempozyum serisinin amacı, gelişmiş teknolojik imkanlarla yapılan son keşifler ışığında bilimin spiritualiteye nasıl yakınlaşmakta olduğunu, bunu hangi temellere dayandırdığını, bilimin bu gün yeni yeni anlayabildiği, ama atalarımızın en azından 12.000 yıldır bizler için taşımakta oldukları bilginin çok daha derin ve kapsamlı olduğunu ve bunlara gereken ilgi ve saygının gösterilmesi halinde dünya üzerinde pek çok şeyin olumlu yönde değişebileceğini, başta bu ülkenin insanları olmak üzere, bu mirasın varisi konumunda bulunan tüm insanlığa anlatmaktır.
